Applying to the Program
Applying for Fall Semester
MSA Program admits students once a year in Fall. Students can apply on for the next Fall semester.
The application period for Fall is October 1 to June 1 (May 1 for international students) on . Students can complete the document submission after completing the application on .
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until spaces are filled. Applicants are encouraged to apply early.
Only complete applications will be reviewed. Applications with missing documents will not be reviewed until the file is complete.
Upper-division foundation courses will be offered in the summer session prior to the start of the MSA graduate program in the Fall. Students who need these foundation courses will register as a non-matriculated student through Open University.
Required Admission Documents
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Official GMAT (or GRE) scores (if not waived)
- Official TOEFL or IELTS scores required for international students
- Personal statement (if not included on the application form)
- A resume
- Recommendation letters are not required but recommended
Application Process
- Submit an application for the MSA program through with an application fee of $70. Fall application opens on October 1st on Cal State Apply each year.
- Send Official transcripts from every college and university attended.
- Official transcripts must be sent directly from the university or in a sealed envelope with the university stamp over the seal from every college attended or had classes.
- For US universities, to expedite processing, inquire your sending institution for information in regards to electronic transcript submission.
- Send the electronic Transcript to electronictranscripts@csueastbay.edu
- Hard copy of official transcripts (in their original sealed envelope) may be mailed to:

Hayward, CA 94542 - For students who attended universities outside the US, official transcripts from the universities are required. An unofficial transcript could be accepted initially for evaluation purposes. The WES course-by-course evaluation is also required for students who received a three-year bachelor’s degree or whose transcript is not in English. - Email the following documents directly to msaccountancy@csueastbay.edu.
- A copy of all your transcripts.
- A copy of your GMAT (or GRE) report if not waived.
- A copy of TOEFL or IELTS scores (international students only).
- Statement of purpose (SOP)
- Include the SOP on the application form or
- Email a separate SOP to msaccountancy@csueastbay.edu Make sure you include your name on the file and on your statement.
- A resume showing business or other experience.
- Recommendation letters are optional, not required. Recommendation letters can be sent directly to the email address msaccountancy@csueastbay.edu or send the hard copy of the recommendation letters to the following address.
