Asian Pacific American Student Success is an umbrella term used to house Asian Pacific Islander initiatives at Cal State East Bay which Transfer Asian Pacific American Student Success falls under.
The program’s services include academic support to increase successful outcomes, foster personal development, enhance social networking, and to create paths for students to reach graduation and realize their career goals. Additionally the project will collect AAPI disaggregated (individual) data to provide a greater understanding of this unique student population.
Transfer Asian Pacific American Student Success is being funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI). APASS was established in 2016 and successfully launched with their Summer 2017 programming. The program focuses on transfer students and operates through the end of the 2020-2021 academic school year.
