February 2014
The “Tunnel of Oppression” is a student-driven project for the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ campus community that identifies and (re)creates practices and experiences of oppression. Over 300 students, staff, and faculty members went through the Tunnel event in February 2014.
There are several rooms, each with a specific theme. Thirty students from the Kinesiology course, KIN 3735: Sport, Ethnicity & Racism, created an art installation to place in one of the rooms that illustrated the institutionalized racism in American football.
