Software Available for Current Students, Faculty and Staff

The University provides Students, Faculty and Staff with access to the software packages listed below. Access is based on the following eligibility criteria.

  • For Students, access to some of these software packages is extended up to 12 months after they graduate or otherwise are no longer eligible to register for classes, and access to other packages is not extended.policy↗ 
  • A special note for Faculty and Staff: There are no provisions for a "Home Use" license of Office 365. When you login to Office 365 using your @csueastbay.edu address, it is for official university business use only.
    • Any and all data stored in this service is the property of the university and subject to legal and regulatory review when requested.
    • It is strongly advised that Faculty and Staff purchase their own subscription to Office 365 for personal use.
    • You may be able to purchase a personal subscription at a 30% discount using this 
  • For Faculty, access to these software packages ends one year after the last term which was taught.
    • Emeritus faculty will retain access to Google Workspace as long as it is the email system for the university, however, they will not have access to the other software packages listed below.

  • For all other employees and positions, access to these software packages ends at their separation date.

The university offers access to Adobe Creative Cloud, this suite provides access to all of Adobe’s photography, design, video, and web apps for all of your devices. Note that this does not include Adobe Captivate.

Eligibility

  • Students have access to this suite generally up to the time they graduate and/or otherwise are no longer eligible to register for classes.
  • Emeritus faculty do not have access to this suite.

The university offers access to Google Workspace for Education Plus, which includes Gmail, Calendar, Drive(Doc, Sheets, Slides) Meet, Chat and additional tools. 

Eligibility

  • Students have access to Google Workspace up to 12 months after they graduate or otherwise are no longer eligible to register for classes.
  • Emeritus faculty will retain access to Google Workspace as long as it is the email system for the university.

The university offers access to Microsoft 365 for Education, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and additional tools.

  • Not all access levels include the locally installed Office Suite of applications, some users will only have access to the online version of the Office Suite (similar to how Google Workspace functions).
Eligibility
  • Students have access to this suite generally up to the time they graduate and/or otherwise are no longer eligible to register for classes.
  • Emeritus do not have access to this suite*.

*If you are no longer eligible for a University funded Microsoft 365 license, you may be able to purchase a personal subscription at a 30% discount using this
