Cal State East Bay’s 29th annual welcome festival, Al Fresco, will kick off Wednesday with live performances by artists Noah Guthrie and Rudy Currence. In addition to music, the event will include free food, games, giveaways and information tables hosted by clubs and organizations on campus.
Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to bring donations of toiletries to the event — liquid soap, lotion, shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste — to help support the university’s Pioneers for HOPE program, which addresses food and housing insecurity on campus. Bins will be available at the HOPE table.
Information tables, the main stage and other activities will be set up along the walkway and courtyard in front of the Arts and Education Building Sept. 28 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
