Helped to create one of the first Aphasia friendly Book Clubs; Helped to lead the collaboration with Yosemite National Park to create the first aphasia friendly Yosemite brochure in the history of the National Park Service; Served as a primary clinician at the Aphasia Center of California, the first nonprofit in the U.S. for aphasia group treatment; Co-founder of Aphasia Choirs Go Global, a support exchange for aphasia choir directors/clinicians; Provided guidance to the student project developing a harmonica band for individuals with aphasia; Helping to develop and launch, Podversations, a podcast for the Aphasia Access organization; Started an informal support group for the mothers of premature babies at John Muir Hospital in the early 90s following the birth of her son at 27 weeks; Auto-immune hepatitis survivor; Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member; Married high school sweetheart; Cared for mom who had a massive stroke for six years while working at the Aphasia Center of California; Mother of GSA Gold Award and BSA Eagle Scout recipients.
