Allow extra drive time on Hayward Campus in June

Heavy attendance at upcoming graduation events is expected to slow traffic on ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ campus roads June 11 through 14.
Extra traffic is expected on the Hayward Campus on selected dates in June as Cal State East Bay celebrates commencement and neighboring high schools hold graduation ceremonies in the University Amphitheatre and Pioneer Stadium. In the past, high attendance at each ceremony caused significant traffic delays for ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ students and employees traveling to and from campus.
The following schedule, and estimated attendance based on previous turnout, is provided to help members of the University community plan accordingly on event days:
June 11, 5 to 9 p.m. – Amphitheatre
Hayward High School graduation
Estimated attendance: 2,000
June 10, 5 to 9 p.m. - Stadium
Mt. Eden High School graduation
Estimated attendance: 3,500
June 10, 4 to 8 p.m. - Amphitheatre
San Leandro High School graduation
Estimated attendance: 5,000
June 11, 5 to 9 p.m. - Stadium
Tennyson High School graduation
Estimated attendance: 2,000
June 12 through 14, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. – Stadium (unless otherwise noted)
