Cal State East Bay hosts 'open house' in Oakland Sept. 9

The wide range of academic courses and certificate programs available to the public through ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, East Bay's Division of Continuing and International Education will be featured when the university hosts an open house from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at its Oakland Center, 1000 Broadway, Suite 109, in downtown Oakland.

Open house attendees will be able to explore their career options and opportunities for advancement as they find out about the more than 60 degree and certificate programs being offered in a variety of industries and fields. Training is available in many specialized areas for employees at all levels.
Faculty and other representatives of the division's courses, certificate programs, and degree programs will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the academic, professional, creative, and lifelong learning opportunities offered.

The center will have information available regarding learning opportunities including paralegal studies, bachelor’s in business administration, construction management, green building and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation, human resource management, master of science in Educational Leadership, master of social work, power engineering, project management, and supply chain management.

“In addition to our extensive portfolio of certificate programs, we are proud to offer new degree programs in business administration and social work in Oakland,” said Brian Cook, executive director of Continuing and International Education for ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ.

Special presentation sessions will focus on Cal State East Bay’s master in educational leadership, master of social work, power engineering, ABA-approved paralegal studies, nonprofit management, human resource management, supply management, and construction management programs.
