Women’s Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

Women's soccer nabbed its third straight NSCAA award on Monday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Cal State East Bay women's soccer earned the 2013-14 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award, announced on Monday. It marks the third consecutive season the Pioneers have earned this distinction.

Cal State East Bay is one of 582 collegiate women's soccer teams to post a team grade point average 3.0 or higher. The Pioneer roster boasted a 3.38 team grade point average during the recognized time frame, ranking second among all California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) programs.

ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ improved upon its 3.36 team GPA from the year prior which was tops among CCAA member institutions. The women's soccer team also led Cal State East Bay programs placing nine members on the CCAA All-Academic Team.
