On the Day of the Test
- Be on time. Check-in starts 30 minutes before yourTest Start Time and door closes 10 minutes before test start time. Example: If the test starts at 8:30 AM, you need to arrive by 8:00 AM. (You will NOT be admitted to test if you are late or the door is closed. There will be no exceptions).
- Dress comfortably. Consider dressing in layers.
- Standbys / walk-ins are not acceptable.
- Must Bring:
- A current, acceptable, valid, original government issued picture ID (Students will not be admitted without a proper Photo ID - Name on ID must match with roster and admission ticket).
- Printed admission ticket and/or valid registration confirmation (Electronic copies are not acceptable).
- #2 lead pencils with erasers.
- Restricted Items: (Students should not bring these items to the test center)
- Any kind of Electronic Devices (Including but not limited to cell phones, computers, handheld games, MP3 players, Fitbits, recording, photographic or wireless devices etc.).
- Hoods, hats, caps, (except items of religious apparel), coats, jackets, headphones, earplugs, sunglasses, wristwatches etc.
- Beverages and Foods (including gum, candy etc.).
- Backpacks, bags, briefcases, purses etc.
- Any other items not listed on the ‘Must Bring’ list above.
- Pockets will be empty during testing.
- Students found with any of restricted items during testing (including breaks) will be dismissed and their scores will be canceled.
- Testing staff shall not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- Parents, guardians, children, visitors, pets etc. are not allowed in the building during testing.
- Prohibited Behavior at the Test Center:
- Attempting to take the test for someone else or having someone else take the test for you.
- Obtaining or attempting to obtain improper access to the test, a part of the test, or information about the test.
- Cheating of any kind including; giving or receiving help, copying, reading, working on, marking, erasing, or darkening anything during unauthorized times, either beyond time limits or in the wrong section of the book or answer sheet.
- Use of any unauthorized device.
- Creating a disturbance. (Disruptive behavior in any form will not be tolerated; the test supervisor has sole discretion in determining what constitutes disruptive behavior.)
- Taking excessive or extended unscheduled breaks during the test session.
- Not following instructions or abiding by the rules of the test center.
- Exhibiting confrontational, threatening, or unruly behavior.
- Bringing a weapon or firearm into the test center.
- Leaving the test room without permission.
- If you do not believe that you can complete entire exam for any reason, such as due to illness or personal emergency, tell a member of the testing staff immediately to assist you.
- Examinees who are warned or dismissed due to prohibited behavior and/or academic dishonesty forfeit their registration for that test date. There are no options for refunds or appeals in situations involving prohibited behavior.
- All irregularities about student’s misconduct and/or academic dishonesty will be reported to the CSU East Bay, Student Judicial Affairs and to the officials of the test organization (if applicable).
- CSU East Bay Testing Office reserves the right to cancel any test scores if the test taker engages in misconduct or if there is a testing irregularity.
- If you wish to register a comment or complaint, you may do so with the test supervisor after the test and before you leave the Test Center. The supervisor will report your comment on an irregularity form, and it will be reviewed.
- Above policies will be enforced from the time test takers arrive at the test center until they leave at the conclusion of the test—including the break.
