Friends of the Arts Scholarship

Emma Satchell

Stage Technology and Design Concentration

Emma Satchell is a Technology and Design Concentration student with plans to graduate in 2020. She is a transfer student from Monterey Peninsula College and has greatly enjoyed her first year with the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ Theater Department. Emma was thrilled to design the lighting and collaborate with the creative team for CSU East Bay’s spring musical; Little Shop of Horrors

Her goal is to pursue a graduate degree and a career in Lighting Design. Some of the shows she recently designed for include Sense and Sensibility with , Quilterswith Hartnell College, Territories with the , and The Little Mermaid with Pacific Repertory Theater. In addition, she is spending the summer as a Lighting Technician for the 

 Emma is honored and grateful to receive the Friends of the Arts Scholarship. She would like to thank her spectacular mentors at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ and all those that make the program possible. This scholarship will greatly assist with Emma’s continued education at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ. It will allow her to continue to invest more time into both the department and building her design portfolio.

Leonard Libresco Endowed Award for Academic Excellence in Theatre and Dance

Isabella Mareseline

Musical Theatre and Acting Concentration

Theatre and Dance Major, Isabella Marseline, was awarded the Leonard Libresco Endowed Award for Academic Excellence in Theatre in Dance for the 2019/2020 academic year.  Ms. Marselline is a second-year student with a Musical Theatre Concentration.  She was recently in the Spring 2019 department production of Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey. In addition, Ms. Marseline was a past recipient of the Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Arts Education Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year.

 

Theatre and Dance Scholarship

Samantha Matson

Acting Concentration

ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ Theatre and Dance Major, Samantha Matson was awarded the Theatre and Dance Department Scholarship in the concentration of Acting for the 2019/2020 academic year. Ms. Matson is a fourth-year student and was recently in the production of CSU Ferguson in fall 2017.

Bridget Maynez

Musical Theatre and Acting Concentration

ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ Theatre and Dance Major Bridget Maynez was awarded the Theatre and Dance Department Scholarship in the concentration of Acting for the 2019/2020 academic year. Ms. Maynez is currently a junior Theatre and Dance Major with a concentration in Acting and Musical Theatre.
