2. Macbook Accessibility Features

Our Apple Representatives presented and demonstrated the built in Accessibility features that come installed on every MacBook. These features can help by providing access across the following domains:
  • Vision - for magnification, and having content read aloud
  • Hearing - for live captions and subtitles
  • Mobility - for using spoken commands to control the MacBook
  • Speech - to create a custom voice to speak out loud what you type
  • Cognitive - to have articles read out loud, and other features to help limit distractions

3. AI Support Systems: Tools for Writing, Research, and Studying

Catch the of our recent workshop on how to use AI tools to assist with Writing, Research & Studying. It goes over the Pros & Cons of AI, Tips on prompting, and demonstrations of useful AI technologies that help with writing, research papers and studying for exams and more. Ideal for students willing to use AI to better improve and optimize their work.

  • AI is not perfect, biased, can be factually wrong or make things up.
  • AI does not do well with vagueness and has privacy concerns.
  • Use AI as a supplemental tool, not to replace any core academic activities (writing, reading, etc.)
  • Always fact check any claims or sources suggested by AI.
  • Check your course syllabus for any AI statement. Some classes and professors may limit AI usage or restrict it entirely.
