Registration & Tickets
We are excited to celebrate the achievements of our Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 graduates during our upcoming commencement ceremonies. Here's what you need to know:
- Eligibility: Graduates who have applied for graduation in Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025 are eligible to receive tickets for their respective commencement ceremony. If you have questions about your eligibility, please reach out to the Office of the Registrar at reg@csueastbay.edu.
- Registration: Students who are Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025 degree candidates as of March 1st will receive a message on March 10 from their horizon.csueastbay email to register from MarchingOrder, our commencement tool. They will be asked to RSVP to the in-person commencement and submit the pronunciation of their name recording.
- Ticket Distribution: Each eligible graduate will receive 6-8 guest tickets for their designated ceremony and found on the MarchingOrder platform when you log in.
- Maximum Seating Limit: Please be aware that we are unable to accommodate any additional attendees beyond the maximum limit set by the fire marshal. Our seating capacity adheres to a specific formula that considers the number of graduates per ceremony and the maximum allowable seating capacity. As a result, we regret that we cannot issue any additional tickets.
- Guest Ticket Requirement: To attend the commencement ceremony, all guests aged 4 and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of 3 are exempt and can sit on their chaperone's lap. Graduates do not require a ticket.
- Ticket Availability for Summer 2024 Late Filing Graduates: For Summer 2025 graduates who apply for graduation during the late filing period March 4 - April 1, access to tickets will be available starting on April 9, 2024. An email notification will be sent to your ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ student horizon email account, indicating that you can RSVP and your ticket allocation is ready to claim.
- Claiming Your Tickets: Graduates are required to claim their tickets, and must use our convenient online ticketing system in MarchingOrder which will be ready in early January 2025. Instructions on how to access your ticket allocation will be provided at that time.
- Extra Tickets: If you need extra tickets, we suggest you ask your fellow students who are attending the same ceremony if they have extras they can spare. Please do not ask the commencement team for extra tickets.
- Ticket Usage Policy: We must emphasize that these tickets are provided free of charge to our graduates and are not for sale or resale. Doing so goes against University policy and any graduates found selling their tickets will have them voided.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety and comfort of all attendees during our commencement ceremonies. We look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with you. Congratulations on your achievements!
