Eligibility & Application
To be eligible for the program, you must meet the following criteria
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder
- AB540 Student
- Have Academic Need
- Identify with ONE of the following
- First Generation College Student (neither of your parents or guardians have a 4 year US Bachelor’s degree, no documentation needed)
- Low-income Student (must meet federal guidelines, documentation required)
- Acceptable documentation forms: CURRENT IRS FEDERAL TAX FORMS: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ. If IRS Federal Tax forms were not filed: Submit a letter on official letterhead showing monthly stipend from SSI, SSDI, FAFSA/SAR, CALWORKS
- Student with a Disability (must be registered with Accessibility Services)
You are not eligible for the EXCEL Program if you are…
- An EOP student
- A Project Impact student
- A Continuing Education student not enrolled in B.S. Business Administration
- An International student
The EXCEL Program is currently accepting applications

Your application will be reviewed within 2-3 weeks and you will be notified of the status of your application. Unfinished applications or applications without required documentation will not be reviewed.
