SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society
SALUTE is the only national honor society recognizing and honoring the service and the scholastic achievements of student veterans. ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, East Bay established a chapter in Spring 2019.
SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society was made possible by an ACE/Wal-Mart Foundation Success for Veterans Grant, and is headquartered out of Colorado State University.

In order to become a recognized member of the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society: ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, East Bay Chapter, the student veteran must meet the following GPA requirements:
Undergraduate students:
- Be currently enrolled as a student.
- Qualify as military or veteran student under locally derived and maintained definitions. Applicants must submit a DD-214 Member 4 copy that displays the character of service (honorable discharge). Applicants currently serving on active duty or in the Guard or Reserves will submit a copy of their Proof of Service statement.
- Have completed 12 credits of graduate coursework
- Have a minimum GPA of a 3.0.
- Have served or currently be serving in the military, National Guard, or reserves. If no longer serving, have been honorably discharged from service.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards.
Graduate students will be classified as “SALUTE Gold Members”:
- Be currently enrolled as a student.
- Qualify as military or veteran student under locally derived and maintained definitions. Applicants must submit a DD-214 Member 4 copy that displays the character of service (honorable discharge). Applicants currently serving on active duty or in the Guard or Reserves will submit a copy of their Proof of Service statement.
- Have completed 9 credits of graduate coursework.
- Have a minimum GPA of a 3.5.
- Have served or currently be serving in the military, National Guard, or reserves. If no longer serving, have been honorably discharged from service.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards.
GPA Requirements and Tiers are as follows:
- Alpha Tier GPA: 3.75 - 4.00
- Bravo Tier GPA: 3.50 - 3.74
- Charlie Tier GPA: 3.25 - 3.49
- Delta Tier GPA: 3.00 - 3.24
Lifetime Membership Fee
- The application fee of $75 covers charges for the graduation stole, graduation pin, certificate, challenge coin and administrative fee.
