Election '24 in 24 hours

Join the CSU East Bay community for over 24 hours of events surrounding the 2024 Presidential Election. Programming includes different types of events, venues, and activities as we watch election outcomes unfold and as we digest and reflect on those outcomes and their impacts on our communities- be it on our East Bay campus, local, state, national, and/or international communities. 

Students, Staff, and Faculty are invited to join us for any and all programming. Drop in as your schedule and your mental health allows.

If you are planning to attend any portion, please rsvp so we can accurately prepare food and other accommodations.

Election Night Coverage

5:00 PM - 9:00 PM 

North UU, Room 311

Join us for live streaming election coverage (of local, state, and national elections), food and drink, and a separate space to chat with friends, play games, and comradery as the night unfolds.

 

After Hours @ Pioneer Heights

9:00 PM-11:00 PM 

Lassen Community Room, Residence Halls

As election night rolls on, continue learning about results surrounded by community in a chill and calming atmosphere. Snacks provided.

Drop-in space for post-election discussions, calming crafts, relaxation spaces and community support as we digest election results. Snacks provided.

 

COMMUNITY REJUVENATION @ the raw

5:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Group fitness classes at the RAW - work out your anxiety through Zumba, then calm and center yourself through yoga. 

 

5:30 PM Zumba with Suleima

Zumba is an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance Music.

 

7:00 PM Yoga with Xan

Move through postures set with an intention to explore and expand one's inner landscape. Use each breath with purpose to calm and support the body, while building strength and flexibility that trains the nervous system to handle challenges and break through roadblocks. This class is immediately intensity designed for all levels of practice.
