Faculty Resources for Information Literacy Assessment for 2024-2025

For 2024-25, information literacy is being assessed in upper division GE courses which have an information literacy course characteristic.  Faculty are provided a signature assignmentoften used in GE across disciplines to help students reflect on their learning related to a core competency. The signature assignment follows a faculty assignment asking students to search for and examine different sources of information (e.g. start of a term paper, annotated bibliography, biography, research, literature review, other).

ILO rubrics and assignment guides are available below to help you and your students further clarify assignment expectations and increase awareness of the learning process. 

ILO rubrics for written communication, information literacy, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and oral communication are also available in .

Select the “Commons” icon on the left of your Canvas Dashboard, and type in ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ rubrics in the “Search” box.  Select the name of the rubric you are interested in looking at. Click the “Details” tab if you would like to import/download the rubric into your preferred course to be modified to fit your needs.
